The Thousand Acres Association, Inc., (TAA) is an independent association of homeowners established in 1984 to promote the welfare of the community and to maintain and repair the roadways.  It is governed by a Board of Directors elected annually by the membership.

Articles 1 and Articles 2 describe the legal purposes of the association. Virtually all monies collected through TAA dues and assessments for properties on Crows Point Road, Thousand Acres Road, Shoreline Drive, Cognac Way, Winslow Court, Buxton Road, and Poland Lane are used for road maintenance to ensure that home owners, visitors, renters, and emergency vehicles have year-round access to all parts of our community.

Yearly dues on all properties with homes are $165; dues on a property without a home are $50. Dues, payable by May 1 of each calendar year, are sent to the treasurer, Susan Hertz. Special assessments for out of the ordinary costs may occasionally be approved by the membership.
