North Shore West of Thousand Acres was approved for development in 2003. It is currently in Phase I of its five phases of development, totalling an approximate 25 to 30 lots. Phase I consists of 4 lots, each slightly under an acre in size. Phase II is expected to be ready in 2008 and will consist of 10 lake-access lots.
North Shore West features excellent water depth with the buffer strip boundary quite close to the water. Central sewage is available. Appropriate green space will be dedicated. The Covenants and Restrictions instituted include vacation rental restrictions. Lakefront varies from 100 to 147 feet, depending on the natural flow of the landscape.
Visiting North Shore West
From Sky Valley Road, go through the Thousand Acres main gate and take your first right. This is Little Snaggy Mountain Road. Continue about 1 mile and just over the top of the hill you will see Sawmill Hollow Road to the right. There will be signs for North Shore Lakefront and Lakeview. Go straight and continue towards the lakefront. This is North Shoreline Drive. Travel 1 mile, beyond the North Shore East area, to the intersection of Upper Snaggy Mountain Road. This begins North Shore West along North Shoreline Drive.
